Module One Question 1
Do you have any healthy habits? What role have culture and environment played in the healthy or unhealthy habits that you have formed?
I am currently doing my internship and have a lot of interaction with new people. I learned communication is a healthy practice and solve some of the situations quickly. Apart from that in my family and friends always have good communication to maintain good relationships. I was born and brought up in a joint family in India, and with my experience, communication makes a healthy atmosphere.
Module One Question 2
Choose a society from the map. Within that society, characterize one of the social science principles we identified in this learning block. As a reminder, the social science principles we focus on in this course are: social roles, social institutions, social norms, and beliefs and values.
For example, what is a social role that exists in Okinawa? Who occupies this role?
The Okinawan women hold a higher status in their position in the family. They are the spiritual leaders, and that role keeps them active in their society into their senior years. In addition, they are in charge of uniting their large family's together for all special functions These expected behaviors as family leaders support the impact of their social positions.
Module One Question 3
Provide an example of the environment influencing the population in an area of increased longevity. Then provide an example of the population in that area influencing its environment.
Here is the example of the population is increased longevity in the area of Ikaria, Greece
The difficulty in the ships being able to dock alongside their windy hillside location, the people are limited in receiving resources. So, they produce their own naturally made/grown goods through their limited sources, which benefits their environment financially and profits them to live much happier, longer, healthier, and stress-free lives.

Think about factors affecting your lifestyle in comparison to the areas of increased longevity. Characterize two social science principles in your day-to-day life. Use the two principles that you did not describe in response to the earlier question. For example, you could describe some social norms in your day-to-day life.
Many factors affect my day-to-day lifestyle that compares to the area of increased longevity. However, this always comes first in my mind: good mental and physical health, try to be healthy, and avoid the risk from non-curable health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, stress, and other diseases that affect your economy. The second factor is that I have considered the way you are treated in society. I brought up by listening to one thing that respect can be earned, not be forced. Being the eldest daughter in my family, I earned my respect by getting a good education, working as a teen, and becoming an independent woman.
