Presentation on Rehabilitation Programs in Correctional Facilities

Week 8 short response A. Who is the audience of this presentation? B. Why does Claudia think the audience should care? C. What parts of the presentation are impactful? In other words, what parts of the presentation would really convince the audience that they should are? A. The audience of this presentation is anyone working within the correction prison system. She is programs and more rehabilitation for the inmates. B. Claudia thinks her audience should care because if you focus more on rehabilitating the inmates, this will lower the chances of them being repeat offenders. C. The part of her presentation that was most impactful, was her story about her cousin being incarcerated. She gets personal with her audience, by describing his personal experience with the art program and how it showed him an away to express himself. Since starting the art program he has not reoffended. Which I find amazing as he had already been a repeat offender. Identify places in Claudia's script that you think should be accompanied by visuals. For each place you identify, indicate what kind of information you think she should include on the slide. For example, you may think personal images are appropriate in some places, or that graphs or charts representing data may be helpful in others. I believe when she is telling her cousin's story, she should show pictures of each of his mugshot photos, and then a picture of him in the art program if available, and the last photo should be him today. Also, when she is talking about the statistics, she should include a graph are a chart showing these statistics. Choose the remaining 3-5 places in the script you will incorporate visuals. Briefly note where you will include the visuals and describe what will appear on the slide. I plan to incorporate visuals on almost every slide. These visuals will range from pictures of individuals suffering from having an unhealthy work/life balance, to a graph are chart showing the statistics of having an unhealthy work/life balance. Complete the checklist after practicing your presentation. Identify at least three adjustment that you will make to improve the presentation based on this critical evaluation. 1. I will make sure I am using the correct terminology for my audience. I will adjust some of my wording to correct this? 2. I will show my presentation down, seems I am rushing it? 3. I will show how much this presentation hit close to home to me. Give more personal experiences? Identify opportunities that you must speak in public and practice these presentation skills, even if not giving a formal presentation. How will using these tips help you communicate your message? I have had a few opportunities to speak in public at my old job, where we had taken turns in speaking in the new nurse's class. These classes gave me the opportunities to speak public about something that meant a lot to me like helping nurses. Consider all you have learned throughout th
