Module Six Question 1
Describe the narrative path that you plan to take. For example, do you plan to start by describing the social science issue and ultimately lead the audience to the logic as to why they should care? Do you plan to open with your research question? Do you plan to use an overarching analogy? Do you think the narrative of your presentation will work best as a single story or as a series of examples?
As you continue working on Project Two, you may choose to structure your presentation differently. You can always edit this response later!
The path that I plan to take is by first describing the social science issue and then lead the audience to the logic of why they should care. After an understanding has been met I will lead them into my research question.?
Module Six Question 2
In your opinion, was this TED Talk engaging? Did you want to keep listening? Why or why not? Make special note of any times you felt lost or confused while viewing the presentation or trying to follow along with any technical concepts Ornish used to explain his work.
I did not find this TEd talk very engaging. I could barely keep up with how quickly he was speaking and was thankful that there were subtitles to compensate for his fast-talking. He also didn't explain his technical terms. He expected everyone listening to his talk to be able to understand everything that he said. He had no emotion throughout his talk. I rather listen to someone who is a little passionate about what they are talking about.?

After listening to the talk, do you feel personally connected to the issue? Why or why not? If you were on a committee of people determining whether to approve funding for Ornish's work, would you agree to provide him more funding? Why or why not?
No, I do not feel personally connected to this issue. It affects my immediate family. However. we practice a healthy eating lifestyle with unhealthy eating in moderation to avoid these issues. I would provide the funding because his statistics show a huge concern. It is disheartening to hear him say "we live in a generation where our kids may not live as long as we do."?
