Taylor Swift's Musical Career

The artist that I am familiar with and that would be a good fit for this discussion would be Taylor Swift. Swift started writing and singing country music at the age of sixteen. A stellar performance at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville helped Swift get a contract with Scott Borchetta's Big Machine Records (A&E Networks Television. 2021 March 15.). Swift had many #1 hits as a county artist and in 2014, Swift changed her genre of music over to pop where she was "the first woman to win the album of the year award twice for their own album (Staff, B. 2018, May 2.)." Swift left Big Machine Record and signed under Republic Records and Universal Music Group in 2018. Just last year during the pandemic, Swift released her first Indie album.
