My Post:
The style of Jazz that I have enjoyed the most is rag me. It was very
upbeat and catchy to listen too. Rag me originates to around 1890-195 It was also developed mostly in dance halls and saloons by traveling Black American pianists. My favorite instruments to listen to in the jazz style are piano and saxophone. Maybe also because I play piano and my
husband plays the saxophone, and we can make beau ful duets. On the piano in rag me, the le hand usually maintains a steady beat the whole way through, which guide the rest of the notes. Like, no ma er
how chao c and crazy the rest of the notes get, there is always the steady and balanced notes of the le . The right hand has more liberty, and bounces around notes in me with the le : Of course, Sco Joplin has some of the most well-known rag me composi ons, but I wanted to explore a bit and nd out what else was out there. I came across Thomas Wright (or more well known as 'Fats') Waller. One piece I listened too and most enjoyed is a piece called
and upbeat tempo.
