The Practical Applications of Business Law and Tort Law

Greetings all, When this course on law and its intricacies began, I felt a bit apprehensive about its contents. However, as we delved into business law, I found myself enjoying it because of its practical applications in real-life situations. One area that piqued my interest was tort law, which offers a useful tool for anyone who needs to seek recourse for harm done to them. I think it's easy for people to forget their rights under tort law when they've been wronged by a stranger and understanding the techniques and strategies that can be used to recover from such situations is crucial. Fortunately, these laws exist to aid those who have suffered unjust harm. I'm pleased to learn that business law isn't solely relevant to large corporations, but it can also assist individuals and small businesses when they've been taken advantage of. Business law sets standards that many people are glad to follow because it promotes ethical behavior in society. Often, people don't even realize that they possess knowledge of business law, but in situations where they feel wronged or violated, exploring these feelings could reveal that some aspects of business law might apply to address their concerns. In the future, I plan to apply what I've learned in this class to situations involving contracts and other scenarios where I can leverage my rights. To achieve this, I aim to stay vigilant in my understanding of the information presented and never sign a legally binding contract without fully comprehending its components. I wish everyone the very best, and I would like to express my gratitude to Professor Devine!
