In order for us to be law-abiding ci zens of our country, we are required to obey the rules and
speci ca ons outlined in the legisla on, which are contained inside the law itself. A judicial
system is what makes up the law, and ethics refers to the state of being responsible for one's
own acts as well as those of others. Infrac ons of the law will result in a punishment or penalty
company's bo om line when morals are applied to the way the rm conducts its opera ons
"corporate social responsibility" refers to the prac ce of having ethical business prac ces.
According to the website for the company known as "Mountain Top View," the following
statement may be found there: "We are devoted to keeping customer informa on secure and
secured." Even if the company's head for informa on technology dealt with the data breach,
the manager should have been informed of it as soon as possible. The manager is responsible
for conduc ng an inves ga on to determine whether or not the organiza on is required by law
to no fy its clients about the security breach in the customer database. If the corpora on were
to take such a step, it would be the ethical thing to do.
Employees and business owners alike should get familiar with the meaning of the term "ethics."
It will be helpful in making judgments concerning the safety of the general public and the
security of their personal informa on. I have been thinking of organizing a social responsibility
program that will provide employees with opportuni es to learn new policies and procedures.
This will also allow the company to generate customer loyalty since customers will recognize
that the company upholds excellent ethics and is commi ed to protec ng their personal
informaon.
