Learning Objectives By the end of this module, you will meet these learning objectives: Explain business ethics, including how it compares to law Describe corporate social responsibility, including how it relates to ethical business practices Differentiate between unethical and illegal business behavior Describe how advances in technology in today's business world have both legal and ethical implications Identify the advantages and disadvantages of ethical tests and frameworks Module Overview Business law and ethics are very much intertwined because ultimately the law is guided by social beliefs about right and wrong behavior Compliance with the law is considered an ethical choice Ethics are the moral principles that govern a person's behavior and choices What is considered ethical can vary among individuals, cultures governments, and even businesses Deciding what business practices to engage in goes beyond merely considering the legality of one's action
