Business Law and Ethics

BUS 206 5-2 Project-Two April 1, 2022 Mariah Kiefer To discuss ethics and how ethics compares to law, Ethics are essentially a combination of moral values that individuals put in place for themselves as well as their behavior. Laws on the other hand are organized rules that are used in order to control society as a whole. When dealing with all kinds of different scenarios, ethics play a part in aiding a person's decision for how they go about that situation. Ethics also plays a part when it comes to business, business ethics is also known as, "the study of appropriate business policies and practices regarding potentially controversial subjects including corporate governance, insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility, and fiduciary responsibilities." While Steve fixed the databases code, he made the decision to not tell his higher up that their database was hacked due to the fact that little information was breeched and that he had fixed the issue. What he didn't seem to understand it just how important it is that if a breech happens that th
