Southern New Hampshire University Group Member Evaluation Form Overview The intent of this form is to give you the opportunity to evaluate the performance of each of your group members at the end of each project. Group projects require you to work with your classmates to create or produce something original. Each member of your group is expected to contribute to the anticipated product. Working in groups will allow you to learn about the process involved in collaborating on an assignment/project. The reality is that many professional settings require group work even when group members do not work in the same location. In an office or work setting, lack of performance on a group project may have long-lasting effects. However, in a course, the repercussions often may never reach a complete lack of performance because the course ends in a relatively short period of time. There will be challenges associated with working in groups, such as scheduling difficulties, assigning responsibilities, and dealing with different personalities. Nonetheless, having this experience during the course will be a valuable opportunity for you to learn about these issues. NOTE: This is NOT the only form of evaluation for group work. Instructors will also assess group work from the prepared rubric or standards and provide feedback. Only a fraction of the final grade will be impacted by group member evaluations.
