1 1-3 Short Paper: The Elevator Pitch 1-3 Short Paper The Elevator Pitch OL 321 March 3, 2021 2 1-3 Short Paper: The Elevator Pitch An elevator pitch is a short, influential assertion that is used to create interest in our abilities. It is one of the best ways to let people know what you are cable of doing professionally It is a quick summary of your background and experience. Going to analyze the example of Sarah; "My name is Sarah, and I run a trucking company. It's a family-owned business, and we think the personal touch makes a big difference to our customers. Not only do we guarantee on- time delivery, but my father and I personally answer the phones, not an automated system." (Doyle, 2021) The opportunity of this example is that the difference that Sarah is describing is a great way to maintain and have value customers. She is putting out there that is her own business and what it is about. The company's value can create with customers by having that personal touch is essential because it makes a relationship that has value customers and creates networking. referrals, and more revues for the company. Providing the information that is an own family business gives the investors the idea that they know their business very well and have to work hard to be where they are. Another pro that she mentions about her company is that they guarantee on-time delivery and have that personal touch on answering their phones. She focuses on the pros, but there are no cons that are unrealistic. On the other hand, we should describe our competitors so we can show how we are different. In the qualification part of the pitch, I see that Sarah should incorporate a little more knowledge about the business, what makes them different and how they can make with the competitors. 3 1-3 Short Paper: The Elevator Pitch Describing the market is where Sarah lacks because there is not much information on how a trucking company is vital for our society. What does the trucking company provide that can generate significant income, jobs, and future?
