Managing Organizational Change and Cliques

1-2 Short Paper- Cliques 04/23/2020 Tara Schirmer Managing Organizational Change What clique are you a part of in your current organization (or a prior organization). I can honestly say that at work I am not part of a clique. A department yes, but clique no. I prefer it that way anyways. I do have friends at work that I hang out with both at work and outside of work and I also have co-workers, that from 8-5 we are the best of friends for work purposes and before and after is not priority. I have seen and witnessed the company that I am worth do their best to keep cliques extinct if not to a bare minimum to ensure that there is no conflict of that type within the company and its employees. What was the purpose of the clique? Did it accomplish its purpose? Discuss, giving reasons showing why or why not. Unfortunately for this question I do not have an answer that may suffice for the purpose of this assignment. I am a very social person and that is with everyone both inside my professional setting to out on the streets. I have a very large spectrum of friends and I prefer to not associate with a specific group of people. If we get into "cliques" as far as teams and being assigned a specific task at work with a group that is a whole other answer to the question and it then turns into a yes. But only for work related and task related purposes.
