Consequences of Poor Product Management and Strategic Steps for Market Re-entry

1-2 Journal Research Problem Statement and Research Question Jesime Freet Before engaging in careless product management, Maruti Suzuki India enjoyed considerable success in the Indian market. The company's product management team was careless; they knew of other businesses, like Hyundai and Tala, that made distinctive items that boosted competitiveness in the market. Although the automakers' products were well-received by Indian consumers, they created rivalry for Maruti Suzuki. Both their sales and market share dropped as a result. Neglect in product management has several detrimental effects on the company, namely in the areas of innovation, diversification, and brand image. A portion of MSI's poor product management was caused by a dearth of research and development. Because all MSI's research and development was done specifically for the Indian market, the company's scope was limited in this regard. Manufacturers were starting to exert pressure on the Indian market and increase competitiveness, including Honda, Hyundai, and General Motors. MSI needed to act because, in the absence of affirmative action, their market share would keep declining and whatever opportunity they had of enjoying a competitive advantage would be lost. The group had to deal with the effects of poor management and marketing. The research topic that I will be addressing: What are the consequences of poor product management, and what steps can MSI take to move forward and get beyond the obstacles in its way to rejoin the market? The company's introduction into new markets to compete with some of its big rivals will be aided by the findings. Expansion of research is necessary; it cannot be restricted to a single area or way of life. No matter what field you work in, you will almost certainly fail if you do not expand your horizons.
