A school resource officer is a sworn in officer whose job is to work at the school. As a school resource officer, they have to be a affectively good and active listener, be fully involved with the kids and be aware of what they do. Also being aware of what occurs on social media and their social media presence is a big communication skill as well especially in this day and age
Restorative justice is a part of the criminal justice system that's purpose is to solely focus on the rehabilitation of criminals/offenders through reconciliation with victims and community. It is also a way the courts try to help by rehabilitating and helping the juvenile before they have the opportunity to get worse and potentially do more harm and cause more havoc within the system as they go up in age. Restorative justice fits into the juvenile justice system because it gives the opportunity and chance to heal and ultimately become a better individual rather than just jumping the gun and just handing out a punishment
A juvenile probation officer is to supervise juveniles who are to be supervised due to their sentencing as an attempt to keep the juvenile from committing anymore crimes or the same crimes continuously and to break the cycle before it ultimately too late Juvenile probation officers'function within
the juvenile justice system in a multitude of ways first foremost. They have to make sure that they are following what is ordered by the courts as far as the juveniles. They are to be consistent when it comes to checking in on the juvenile with visits which involve making sure they are in a good environment and are doing right as well as keeping up with their caseload. A juvenile probation officers has to have top tier communication skills the most important skill being able to actively listen in order to comprehend the instructions given by the court in regard to what is to be done when it comes to the juvenile. But not only do the courts need to be listened to but so does the juvenile and those in their life to ensure evervthing that needs to be done is done to keep the juvenile on a good and narrow path instead of a bad one.
