The role of a school resource officer is to have a plan for the school for student and faculty safety. They work in different schools or even multiple ranging from Elementary to High School. They are actual officers who are assigned to work at the school. I believe they need to have good communication skills all across the board
Restorative justice is defined as repairing the harm that has been caused as a result of a crime. Restorative justice is basically helping someone in a way that they won't commit the same crime again. The adults in the school need to work with the students and talk to them about what's going on. They need to show them that they care and do what they can to prevent further disciplinary actions.
A JPO is someone who has been assigned to oversee the juveniles that were placed on probation. A JPO's main job is to supervise the juvenile, make reports and make sure the child is doing what the court ordered. Along with the courts and law enforcement, a JPO also needs to have good communication and active listening skills. If they listen and communicate well the child will most likely talk to them and let them know what's going on. They can help them figure out what went wrong and how to fix the situation to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The law enforcement pipeline and schools relate because schools are the main enforcement for the pipeline. They send students to juvenile detentions rather than "punishing" the student within the school. This makes law enforcement handle the situation rather than the school handing it themselves. The rules of communication need to be clear and guidelines need to be followed within the school as needed.
