1-2 Short Answer: Cultural Objects and Their Culture

Some humanities cultures that I strongly identify with in my life from greatest to least are
as follows. I am a strong spiritual believer of Christ, believing that our Lord and savior died for
our sins on the cross so that we could live. Believing that if I live right and lean on God for all
understanding that He will be pleased, and I will earn a place in heaven. A father is an important
cultural symbol, especially having the presence of a father or father figure in the home with
mother and child or children. A positive father figure carries the responsibility of instilling
morals, values, love, and guidance into children. Social media is a great influence in the culture
of humanities that creates a gateway for communication.
A representative object from the humanities for the culture of Christianity is the bible.
This is a sacred artifact that provides hope, guidance, revelation, and a pathway for the life of a
child of God who has been chosen and accepted by our Lord and savior. A representative object
from the humanities for the culture of a father is a male figure. Being a father is believed by
some to be a hard job, especially when it comes to raising a son and, in my case, a son of color.
As I reflect on this journey, I view it like raising yourself. This job has no manual, and it is hard
not to do it without comparing your thoughts, ideas, and behaviors to your parents and how they
parented you. Society's perception of males or fathers goes from positive to negative perceptions.
however, fathers must show our sons how to be a man. A representative object from the
humanities for the culture of social media is the internet. It is a good tool to reach family and
friends that you may have not seen for a long time. It is also a great educational tool that is used
to help assist with learning especially during the times of Covid-19 when our children have had
to experience education from behind a computer screen.
The bible is a book that was written giving believers and all humanity instructions on
how to live a life according to the word of God. The bible is known to be the Breath of Life
which contains the history of man and the struggles that were overcome by believing that there is
a savior. The bible reflects religion, history, social perceptions, education, and hope. A
representative object from the humanities of a father is a male. A male should demonstrate the
characteristics of a father to be a protector, a provider, and a disciplinarian. A son is a male
offspring of his parents who takes on the characteristics of his father. It is not easy trying to live
up to the expectations
