Criminal Psychology and Sexual Abuse

For the scenario I chose Frank Timmons who is charged with being a serial murderer. I selected this scenario because the crime of murder has many possible reasons and for someone to become a serial murderer the reasons are even more varied. Rape is also represented here as well as any number of lesser charges depending on the circumstances. Since this scenario involves a sexual element the fact that Frank's sister Margaret, who seemed to have raised him, is suspected of being involved in sexual abuse, is important for this case. Margaret also displayed instability and had relationship problems which likely were passed onto Frank. He displays a history of violent sexual behavior which could be contributed to sexual abuse he suffered as a child.
