The type of informa on you can gain from the UCR ranges from sta s cs regarding crime sta s cs to data regarding the deaths and assaults of o cers. These sta s cs include everything from vic m informa on to facts about the o ender.
2. Using the Criminal Data Guide document as a guide, what do you no ce about the informa on that you should ask about? Where should you look for this informa on?
The information that may be found within the UCR is very pertinent information as previously stated. With that being said, there are a few things that should be asked when exploring these crime statistics and victim facts. The information that should be looked into includes psychological and sociological facts about the offender that, may be useful in understanding the case at hand. This information may also be easily accessed via the crime data explore where facts are stated regading the victim and the offender.
3. Is there a typical pro le for terrorists? Explain.
Technically, there is a typical pro le for terrorists that is used by the FBI. However, this pro le is not always accurate as the techniques and procedures of domes c terrorists versus interna onal terrorists are rather di erent. With that being said, even the pro le of interna onal terrorists di ers, and an example is found in the di erence between Tamil and the Taliban. This di erence can be found as the Taliban typically sued guerilla tac cs where the Tamil use snipers.
