Instruc ons: Respond to the ques ons below.
1. Review the Uniform Crime Repor ng (UCR) website. What type of criminal data can you gather from this website?
After reviewing the UCR website, I found it interesting that you can gather data on any type of violent crime in the U.S., including human trafficking.
2. Using the Criminal Data Guide document as a guide, what do you no ce about the informa on that you should ask about? Where should you look for this informa on? It dives deeper into the background of the suspects in question, Everything you can think of should be asked when reviewing this information (psychological factors, social factors, genetic factors, etc.).
3. Is there a typical pro le for terrorists? Explain. I do not personally think that there is a typical profile for terrorists because we have seen the faces change so much over the past 20 years. We have gone from Iraqian terrorists to Caucasian terrorits within those last two decades. Of course looking at the data collected on the UCR, we are providing a synopsis of what a terrorist looks and acts like, but none of this information is truly correct as we have been proven time and time again that what we think we know is far from the truth.

Lisa is accused of luring a group of men into a park where they are a acked by a criminal street gang. She is also a gang member and this is part of her ini a on. She had a very strict upbringing and was physically abused by her older brother and father growing up. At age 13, she befriended some gang

members who let her hang around with them. She started skipping school and commi ng pe y crimes such as the and burglary. Her gang got into a ght with a rival gang and she was injured, requiring s tches and x-rays. A police report was led, although no charges were brought against her.
Using the Criminal Data Guide document as a guide, respond to the following:
1. What pieces of informa on are important for you to gather speci cally from the scenario above?
We should focus on what caused Lisa to befriend the gang members in the rst place, and make sure that she didn't endure any further abuse than just physical abuse from her father and brother. Rede ning what a "strict upbringing" means is going to also be key in this case because everyone's de ni on is going to di er in one way or another, and we need to do a background check/search of the men she lured to the park.
