Demographic Summary
Frank Timmons is a light skinned black man who was born in 1964. He was born into a
large family in a large metropolitan city. He was the second youngest of thirteen children. From
the information provided Frank would have been in his forties and married to his wife Jenny
when the murders started happening. His mother died when Frank was only twelve. This left his
father and older sister Margaret to raise him and his siblings. His father and sister were both
alcoholics and both were accused of abusing him and his siblings.
The family grew up very poor often depending on food stamps and DES subsides to
survive. This led Frank to not have enough credits to graduate because he was missing school to
provide for the family. He was good at sports and played football while he was in high school.
He was often accused of being too rough on the opposing team. During his senior year is when
he started to get into trouble. Him and his brother were accused of raping a girl, but no charges
were ever brought up against them.
Biological Factors
Frank has a family history of violence, and this could have been passed biologically to
him. His father was verbally abusive to him, and his sister sexually and verbally abused him. His
father and sister both struggled with alcohol abuse. These are two huge factors that were passed
onto Frank from them. He showed signs of aggression when he played football and was often
accused of being too rough with the opposing team. He ended up getting a DUI also which
shows that he had a problem with alcohol. According to the World Health Organization, alcohol
is closely associated with aggressive behavior (Can Alcohol Provoke Anger, Aggression, and
Violence?, 2021). So, with Frank abusing alcohol it could have made his aggression even more
intense then when he was sober.
Developmental Factors
Frank had a rough and traumatic childhood. He was born into a very large family being
the second youngest of thirteen children. This did not leave him to get a lot of attention from
either of his parents. His parents divorced when he was young and then his mother died when he
was twelve. This left his father and his older sister Margaret to raise him. He endured abuse from
both. His father was an alcoholic and was verbally abusive to him. His sister was also abusive to
him and his siblings. She was accused of sexually abusing Frank and his other siblings when she
was helping raise them. It does not say if Frank had any kind of resources to help him any of
these developmental factors growing up.
Environmental Factors
