Summary of Case
Frank Simmons is a man like any other, born in the 1960's in a metropolitan city, he was the
second youngest of thirteen children. His parents were Billy and Lorretta, his dad worked as a lot
attendant, while is mother was a maid. When is parent divorce, Billy maintained a strict
household. He was verbally abusive towards his children and was an alcoholic, a trait that ran in
the family line. Frank's mother passed away when he was twelve years old, she was an absence
mother towards her younger children and left their upbringing in the hands of the older siblings
particularly Margaret. Frank did poorly in school and the family was poor to say the least. While
in high school Frank displayed aggressive tendencies and would be in and out of trouble and was
even arrested for various crimes including rape (Case Study two, 2019).
By the time Frank reached his twenties he was convicted for abducting and raping a woman.
He was sentenced for 15- 20 years but would only serve 13 years. Upon his parole Frank would
go on to marry Jenny Nelson and would gain employment as a construction worker. However,
one year after Frank's release, a string of robberies, sexual assaults, as well as, murders began in
the area. Family and friends maintain Frank's innocence, unfortunately, his parole officer thought
he match the sketch of the "Serial Murderer", Frank's residence was searched. A ski mask and
real looking toy gun was found allowing police officer to obtain a warrant to conduct a full
search of his residence. During the police officers search other evidence was found which tied
Frank Timmons to the Serial Murder case. DNA evidence which collected in one of the assaults
would link Frank to the Serial Murder crimes (Case Study two, 2019).

Initial hypothesis
The early beginnings of Frank Timmons life were filled with neglect, and abuse. We can
therefore conclude that Frank was possibly abused by his father and Margaret. He was certainly
neglected by his mother, which breed a hatred toward women. The women in Frank's life also
failed to protect, nurture and love him throughout his young life. Hence, we saw Franks
aggression peaking in his adolescence. All these traumatic experiences particularly for a child
can be irreversible. The lack of empathy towards women, and murderous tendencies created by
Franks early life experiences gave him the necessary tool to become a master manipulator and
serial murderer. Frank Timmons is seen as a nice guy and loving husband, but in the same breath
he is a rapist and murderer. In short Mr. Timmons is clearly sociopathic.

Comparison
After reading the accounts of Frank Timmons, I immediately thought of Ted Bundy. Like
Timmons, Ted Bundy was a serial killer that had a victimology that primarily focused on young
