Proactive and reactive problem-solving frameworks
One of the most important to note is that there are proactive and reactive frameworks of
solving different problems. Notably, these frameworks play a very critical role in ensuring that
leaders in healthcare organizations solve different issues and problems which make it hard for
the organization to operate. According to Liu et al. (2020), a framework of solving problems
which is proactive usually focus on identifying problems which may occur and helps in
developing different strategies through which these problems can be prevented. Proactive
frameworks are important because they help organizations identify different issues which may
arise and allow development of strategies to ensure that these issues do not occur. This helps in
ensuring that organizations do not incur loses and damages which are associated with different
problems. However, in some cases, these frameworks may not be effective especially when the
leaders are not informed about how they are applied or implemented. Yazdi (2019) noted that the
leaders should be familiar with the problem and how it may affect the organization for them to
effectively implement the frameworks. When it comes to reactive frameworks of solving
problems, the frameworks usually focus on finding and eliminating the root causes of different
problems, which have occurred within an organization. In most cases, reactive frameworks for
solving problems are usually effective because the leaders in an organization have knowledge
about the problem and can identify different areas that may make it hard for the problem to be
solved. As explained by Yazdi (2019), it is worth noting that both types of frameworks aim at
ensuring that different issues which may affect the operation an organization are addressed.
Choose a problem-solving framework
I have selected the first scenario. Notably, in this scenario, the chief compliance officer
has asked me whether the small community clinic pharmacy that is a part of the organization is
still maintaining uniform implementation of narcotic dispensing and documentation procedures
It is imperative to note that there have been no issues for the last 6 months since the
implementation of a quality improvement initiative. Since there are no problems, the most
effective model that would be used in this case is Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
According to Liu et al. (2020), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a proactive and a
systematic method through which a process is evaluated to find out where and how it might fail
In addition, the framework is also used to assess the impact of different failures that may occur
and to identify the parts of the process which may require change. In the first scenario, the
framework would ensure that the organization develops different strategies to prevent problems
or issue from occurring as it operates. It is also imperative to note that the framework would also
be useful in the third scenario wher
