Final Project
Improving Mental Health Care Access in Rural Areas
Implementation
After the assessment and planning stages have been successfully completed, the next step
is to implement the strategies and interventions that will comprise the mental health
improvement program. Implementation of any program or plan is a crucial process as it aids in
providing a blueprint as well as a timeline to work with and ensure that the program is
implemented with no errors or delays. During this stage, the program coordinator or project
manager will accomplish tasks such as developing a detailed worksite plan to put the assessment
and planning into practice. "Program implementation involves all the steps needed to put health
promotion strategies and interventions into place.[ CITATION CDC151 \I 1033 ]
Activities
"Managing change is challenging and requires careful planning and execution".
[ CITATION Sel18 \l 1033 ] During the implementation phase, it is important to have your
activities in place so you can guarantee a successful outcome. During the assessment and
planning stages, we determined the resources and activities necessary to properly implement the
program. During the needs stage, we determined that a collaborative approach is best for this
program. This will need to be kept in mind at all times of the implementation. The program will
also keep in mind that mental health care cannot be a straightforward process done the same way
each time as humans are limited resources that do not react or require the same needs. The
program will feature an informal alignment as the patient care teams will be different depending
on each patients needs. The activities necessary should be listed out to ensure they are all
accounted for. Also, contingencies should be planned out.

2. Technology upgrades to a valid Electronic Medical Record program and telehealth

4. Space configuration
5. Training

Sequence
Once you have the activities planned out, it is crucial that you place them in the correct
sequence of events. Items that are necessary to a certain stage must obviously be completed prior
to that stage. If the items are not in the correct sequence, it can cause delays that will impact the
timeline in place thus delaying the program being put into place. The first stage of the
implementation will be the financial aspects to ensure the program has the financial costs of
running the program, new salaries, and technology upgrades. This item must be first as if the
organization does not have the financials to support all aspects of the program, then some
concessions must be made. The first is the salary cost. Research should be completed to put
together a range of salary amounts including benefits and any bonuses or incentives that we
