Organizational Overview and Applications Analysis: Organizational Overview Ejiogu 2 The Healthcare Organization - Alpha, is a 150-bed hospital, with 5 beds designated for intensive care. And an emergency department that is designated as a level III trauma center. This healthcare organization offers services ranging from Outpatient surgery and Orthopedic surgery to Women's health, Pediatrics, and Cardiology. Additionally, the organization also has the following auxiliary service lines 5 family practice clinics, 2 internal medicine clinics, 1 cardiology clinic, 1 neurology clinic, 1 orthopedic and sports medicine clinic, 1 eye care clinic, 1 women's health clinic, and 1 pediatric clinic. While also providing outpatient rehabilitation services and community wellness programs. In consideration of the various services and departments within Alpha, the recommended EHR system should comprise a flexible and profound database capable of accommodating diverse data types such as scheduling information, patient records, laboratory results, diagnostic images, and administrative processes. Interoperability must also be considered during the selection and implementation phase, as this is crucial for seamless sharing of information across the organization's different service lines and departments (Sayles et al., 2021. P.198). From the scope of services provided by Alpha, which cuts across a wide range of medical, specialized care, rehabilitation services, and community wellness programs, the expected Electronic Health Record (EHR) system should be one that can support different clinical workflows, data formats, ensure seamless communication between departments, compliant with security and privacy regulations, and user friendly. Therefore, the following stakeholders should be considered in making up the team of EHR selection:
