Aligning Healthcare Organizations' Mission, Vision, and Values with Marketing Strategies

Bianca Ellis 2-1 Short Paper: Aligning a Healthcare Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values to Its Marketing Efforts Challenges In general, there were no difficulties in locating mission, vision, and value statements for different types of facilities. A straightforward Google search provided all the necessary information. However, the search query was quite specific, such as "skilled nursing facility mission vision and values." Even someone who doesn't look for them directly could find them with ease on the main websites. All the facilities' statements were found in the About Us section on the websites reviewed. Commonality Healthcare facilities of all varieties promise to provide compassionate care to their patients. The mission, vision, and core values of several healthcare facilities, including University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, Reading Hospital, Redlands Community Hospital, MedStar Surgery Center, and Harbert Hills Academy Nursing Home, reflect this commitment. While all healthcare facilities prioritize patient care, skilled nursing facilities set themselves apart by highlighting their Christian background and their dedication to providing personalized, exceptional, and compassionate Christian healthcare. In contrast, other facilities also prioritize the well-being of their employees, emphasizing the importance of treating them like family and providing a supportive work environment. These facilities' mission, vision, and core values statements focus on advancing healthcare technologies, facility collaboration, and patient care. The skilled nursing facility primarily focuses on patient care, family care, and Christian values. Alignment In the healthcare industry, facilities must maintain their integrity and attract patients with a marketing strategy that aligns with their core values. Failure to do so could result in a loss of trust among the intended audience. Moreover, healthcare facilities aim to draw in health insurance companies, technology providers, and potential employees which can be achieved through a consistent message that reflects their mission, vision, and values. This approach can establish trust and reliability, leading to further business opportunities and partnerships. References · Cellucci, L. W., Wiggins, C., & Farnsworth, T. J. (2014).
