Human Behavior in Organizations

Hello Everyone, I decided to focus on the good part of the organization I work for right now. since June 2020 I have been promoted to another department in which I am experiencing a great empowerment from my manager and a great leadership from her as well. Leadership is the process of influencing and supporting others (both individual and collectively) to work enthusiastically toward achieving shared objectives (Newstrom, 2015). I consider my manager as a great leader because she has a great energy for example in our meetings, she always has a high-level energy never once we will hear her say anything as cutting the meeting short because she is swapped with work she is genuine and believable. Her voice tone when she speaks to us in the meetings or during our 1: 1 makes you believe what she says she will do for the team. I will definitely consider my manager as a participative leader and an empowering manager. A participative leader is a leader that inform their employees of the conditions affecting their job and encourage their employees to express their ideas, make suggestions, and take actions (Newstrom, 2015). She will always inform us of what is going on and how to improve the process or how can we come up for an initial process. She will always take in consideration our suggestions, discuss with us if the idea is great. If it's not a good idea she will definitely explain why so that we don't feel like we wasted our time. She does apply the five broad approaches to empowerment of helping us becoming subject expert in our role, giving us freedom to run our own inventory and apply what works best for us to meet our goal. The advantage of having employees empowered at work will create a sense of innovation for employees. spread positive attitude throughout the workplace, improve employee's performance and advocate for the brand.
