Human Behavior in Organizations

Michael LaRosa Southern New Hampshire University OL-500 Human Behavior in Organization 7-2 Final Project Milestone Four: Workplace Analysis 02/29/2020 As evidenced in the Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant case study, there are many organizational issues that can arise and cause a disruption in the business. Such issues can impact the business in many ways such as lowering employee morale, higher than usual turnover, and a decline in the organization's profits. Having worked in the banking and financial industry, holding a number of different positions, most recently on the mortgage administration side of the business, I can personally attest to the different organizational issues that can happen and how detrimental they can be on the organization itself as well as the organization's employees. As I have stated in my analysis of the case study of the Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant, I feel that these organizational issues such as this are the result of a snowball starting with poor management that works its way down the chain of command. Having seen and personally been through different facets of corporate restructuring, I have experienced such organizational issues firsthand. I am a Dedicated Lending Associate here in New York City for one of the major banks in the United States. I have also been complemented by current and former clients I have worked with in addition to Processors and Underwriters for my efficiency and ability to work as a team to get tasks done. Ultimately. the Home Lending Officer whom I support was transferred to a new team under a new Manager. He told me that if I wanted to join him on the new team, that I would have to begin commuting into New York City and not work from home anymore. When I brought this to the attention of my Manager, he told me that "he has absolutely no authority to make any ultimatums or decisions of that sort". This particular Home Lending Officer is very nasty and disrespectful which is something that I brought to the attention of Human Resources. I am currently in the proces
