Business Proposal
The business that I have chosen for my business proposal is a catering company. I have
chosen this format of small business under the idea that it could be into an actual business
venture upon graduating, as I am versed in culinary arts and have years of experience in the
field. The business would be scaled to do small events, possibly have an operational food truck
for catering events or pop-up opportunities and have staffing that matched the scale of
business. I would begin the business as an LLC, as I would prefer to have the ability to control
how funds were being allocated while allowing me exclusion from double taxation. An LLO
would also prevent customers from filing personal lawsuits against my estate and would give me
the option to take on participants as time went on. I believe choosing an LLC would best suit my
concept in the early stages as it would give me the ability to treat my company as a sole
proprietorship for the time, while still give me coverage as the company evolved into a brick and
mortar.
