Two of the main internet providers in Fayetteville, NC for businesses is Spectrum and. Spectrum provides businesses with speeds of up to 1 Gig, without any data caps or speed throttling. This is especially important as we have many devices, and this means we need the most reliable internet possible without speed issues. Additionally, they offer a security suite that encompasses 25 complimentary business licenses. Ensuring security is a huge concern for our company, making it essential that our internet provider includes a comprehensive security suite. The reliability rate for Spectrum is 99.9% (Charter Communications, n.d). Meanwhile, Brightspeed is another service provider that caters to business internet needs. They offer speeds up to 940 Mbps with a reliability rate of 99.9% (Brightspeed, 2023). After careful consideration, I've concluded that Spectrum Business is the optimal choice for ensuring the new location has the most dependable, secure, and high-speed internet. Their higher speeds and the offer of their security suite are essential elements for achieving the success we strive for in our business. Spectrum also offers an advanced router that will have enough bandwidth for 200 devices at a time, which is more than enough for our 50 employees to be working at the same time in the office. Spectrum offers a modem which is one vital piece we need to establish the internet. Alongside the modem, we will need a router for Wi-Fi and a switch to connect multiple devices within our network. A firewall is important to help keep the network secure. We will need ethernet and power cables. The workstations will need a computer with Windows 11 Pro as it's best for the business, monitors for displays, keyboards and mice, and webcams alongside microphones for the virtual meetings that employees will be having to attend. These workstations will also need chairs and desks.
There will be 50 employees starting at this location so there should be one printer for every employee so there will be a need for five printers and then a sixth one for the conference room.
