1 When choosing an ISP for the office there are a few considerations that you want to make. The first thing is the speed. In Fayetteville the best two options are Spectrum and Brightspeed. Spectrum has cable gigabit speeds, which is considered really fast. On the other hand, Brightspeed offers fiber internet with speeds up to 940 Mbps. Fiber is considered to be better because the signal is not being blocked by wires. This means that the traffic on the network will not get slowed down to an increase in traffic. Doing basic research on the internet shows that Spectrum has the better overall service and reliability. With that said, I would choose them over Brightspeed. While having fiber would be good to have, Brightspeed does not have good customer reviews as of yet. For desktop computers, I would choose the Lenovo Thinkstation P360 Ultra. I would choose this because it is a small form factor desktop which is useful because it can fit anywhere on the workstation. Another reason I chose this is because of its specs. It has a newer generation Intel Processor, 32 GB of Ram and a 1TB SSD, and an Nvidia RTX A200. All of which operate on Windows 11. These are good specs because they focus on speed and productivity, which is good for an office setting. For a printer I chose the EPSON Workforce Enterprise AM-C6000 Color Multifunction Printer. This printer is a workhorse and can print 60 pages per minute. This can print in color and can handle a volume of up to 60,000 pages per month. I went with a centralized unit instead of individual desktop printers so that the remote workers can take advantage of it as well. For some of the higher-level employees such as managers, I would give them the EPSON Workforce pro for their offices. I would configure all of these to be running with a firewall in front of them to ensure data security. I would also like them to be hard wired in so I would have multiple ethernet switches that would add more ports.
2 For the employees teleconferencing I would recommend using Zoom. Over the past few years, Zoom has expanded into one of the biggest tools for virtual meetings. The basic version is free to use, and you can use it on any modern device. The highspeed internet from Spectrum would be more than capable of handling the traffic of teleconferencing.
