There are several ISP options available in Fayetteville. The top three recommendations, based on
speed offered, are: Spectrum, CenturyLink and Viasat. Of these, Spectrum offers the highest
download speeds at up to 1,000 Mbps. CenturyLink offers the highest upload speeds at up to 940
Mbps. Viasat is nowhere near these numbers, so we will exclude it
Spectrum and CenturyLink both cover upwards of 98% of the city, so either one is likely to be a
good option. Pricing starts at around $50 for both carriers, though plans vary. Both are well
known, national brands so reliability and coverage will be roughly the same. With the need to
communicate via webcam and microphone, I would recommend we go with CenturyLink as it
provides higher upload speeds.
Hardware, as suggested, should be a combination of both laptops and desktops, as preferred by
each individual worker. I would also recommend the option of desks that can be changed into
standing desks for employee health. I would recommend five printers for the employee pool,
roughly one for every ten workstations. The Sales and Marketing VP should have their own
printer for ease of access and privacy.
Conference rooms should be equipped with their own workstation connected to a projector and
speakers so that all can see and participate. A smartboard would also be recommended for group
projects and brainstorming.
