Column limits are set to 30 bytes
Character maximum length are set to 255 bytes
Graphic maximum length is set to 127 double-byte
characters
Binary maximum length is set to 255 bytes
Variable Character (VARCHAR) maximum length is set to 32,704 bytes depending on the table space available.

The most recent version of IBM DB2 11.1.3.3 for
Windows has a minimum ram of 256 MB with a
recommended minimum RAM being 1GB for
improved performance and a minimum of 2 GB free
disk space.

IBM has introduced several features to the DB2

IBM BLU Acceleration, Storage Optimization, IBM
Pure Scale, SQL compatibility, Advance Storage and
Disaster Recovery.
