As I grow in my career I will always remember to try and be the best leader I can be starting with
leading by example. As the book states leaders should influence, inspire and motivate members
of an organization which I believe. I feel it is also important for your staff to see you work as
hard as they do if not harder. I personally think that my leadership style is to always be open and
honest with my staff. I want them to always be able to trust in me as their leader. I also would
remember to always use the rational and intuitive making-models when making decisions as I
feel they fit my leadership style best. I think that to be a great leader you have to put yourself in
your co-workers' shoes. I still am a true believer in holding meetings and giving your employees
a platform to state what is on their mind. I feel I could work more on my patience with people
and dealing with people who are not as motivated as myself. I also think I could work on being
more open to new ideas. I sometimes can stay stuck in the same way of doing things.
I personally believe that being able to lead and follow can be one of the best attributes a
coworker can have. When trying to establish a team atmosphere it is always important to be able
to give and take direction. Having everyone on the same page can make this more of a reachable
goal. When I am in a leadership role, I like for my team to be able to come to me with anything.
I like to provide a trusting atmosphere. It is sometimes difficult to take direction when you are in
a leadership role but, it can sometimes be for the best of the company. Being open minded in
leadership roles can help to maintain a team atmosphere where people can be open with their
ideas
My personal leadership style as I have stated in the past is to create a "team" atmosphere. I feel
like taking the time to build trust between yourself and your team can help to create a happier
workplace. I feel like in the past when I have worked in a space where I was allowed to be
creative and utilized for my skills, I was always the happiest. I always want to try and keep an
open mind and lead by example. I am a true believer in hard work paying off and will continue
to live like that when I'm in the workplace with any team. I also will remember to utilize some
of my personality traits including being organized and outgoing. I truly feel like I have learned a
lot of skills throughout this course that has me ready to be a great leader in the workplace.
