Social Media Marketing for Netflix

In addition to Facebook and Instagram, Netflix also has a Twitter account. On Instagram, Netflix has over 7 million followers, on Twitter, it has over 4 million, and on Facebook, it has about 44,276,937 followers. The Facebook page for Netflix states that over 75 million members are members of the service. Social media is one of the ways Netflix spreads the word about what they offer. It is easy for people to spread the word about new Netflix content on Facebook and Twitter. It is through word of mouth that people discover Netflix and begin watching, subscribing, or even just becoming interested in the idea of Netflix. In spite of the differences between these platforms, they all serve the same purpose, expressing the wide range of movies and television shows Netflix provides with clever pictures and videos. To spread trailers and posters, Netflix posts pictures or videos on its Facebook page. Both regular and Netflix Original content are advertised by Netflix. In addition to posting images and videos on Twitter, Netflix posts viewers' responses to shows they watched on Netflix or silly memes that reference Netflix or shows, as well as show suggestions so they can promote what Netflix has to offer. The Instagram platform resembles both Facebook and Instagram, except Instagram's focus is largely on photos and videos, rather than sharing and reposting. Netflix often uses Instagram's feature of posting a story that only lasts for twenty-four hours to promote new shows and content that is coming soon, and Instagram also offers a feature where you can post a story that only lasts twenty-four hours. The post is changed to fit the platform Netflix is using even though it is published on multiple platforms. On Twitter, they use the platform to offer real feedback from real people instead of just posing images and videos. In a similar manner, 3-2 Final Project Milestone Two Instagram's "My Story" feature ensures that the brand's posts are seen by its follower base instead of just scrolled by. Since Twitter is where Netflix interacts most with their subscribers, it is the best platform for Netflix to use. Facebook has a greater reach for Netflix, but Twitter is an important platform where they advertise new content and share the thoughts of the target market to further market their products. As a result of Netflix reposting their viewers' excitement and love of shows. series, and movies, they show they care about their opinion. This is what Netflix does well, and content when you search online.
