3-2 Milestone One Journal Entry
The premise for the argument at hand is whether online dating is better than meeting
someone in person or naturally. This has been a popular debate for a while, and I've personally
met people who have met online and end up being the perfect match, while others have nothing
but bad experiences. The topic is being discussed to determine which method of dating is
deemed more successful. The conclusion is that online dating is a better way to meet someone
because it takes the guessing out of the equation. Someone who is honest and upfront about what
they want will present that in their online profile when signing up for a dating website.
This topic is of interest to me because I have never personally tried online dating and I
am interested in how it works and the chances of meeting someone who you are compatible with
on the web. I think it's a topic that isn't discussed enough, and I am looking forward to learning
more about the statistical side of online dating, and all its possibilities. Some of the questions that
are left unanswered, which I will include in my final essay, are how statistics are measured, and
how the conclusion that online dating is better has come about. I hope to have these questions
answered as well as provide evidence to support the answers or conclusions.
