I think they reacted quickly, once they were aware of the attack, and they created mitigating controls to prevent the attack from reoccurring. They also worked with several other agencies to ensure that all companies are aware of the risk and can implement security protocols to prevent attackers from being successful. I think the article is very detailed and explains the attack and solution to prevent the attack in the future. A few reasons why there is no incentive for organizations to report these types of attacks is they may be concerned with how it will effect there reputation, they may not be legally required to report it especially if no customer
data was effected by the attack, and they may have to increase their budget for network security to ensure their users that they can efficiently monitor, and secure their data without any downtime to their network.
