Hannah Kramer 24 September 2023 CYB-310 Project One - Stepping Stone 1. The Sales Department network segment needs read/write/execute privileges to the Customer Service Department network segment. 2. The workstations in the Human Resources Department cannot access the internet. I. Network Deficiencies A. Issue One i. Identify the configuration error causing the issue by providing appropriate screenshot(s). ii. Troubleshoot the issue and provide screenshots of a resolution. I. The issues were that the firewall (pfsense 2.1.4-2) was configured to block any host from an outside network from connecting to the customer service network I. The resolution was to create firewall rule exception that allowed the Computers on the Sales Network (192.168.1.0/24) to connect to the destination network which was the Customer Service

III. NOTE: there was other options to fix this problem, like adding all the computers on the Sale network individually to an allow list. iii. Explain your approach to troubleshooting the issue and justify your resolution. I. The reason I picked the first method and not the alternative method, was because if the company were to grow its sales department in the future that might mean that there would need to be more computers on that network which would every time a new computer was added
