My class study of and experiences with published poetry didn't inform my decisions, I couldn't even fully change my poems to add in the imagery that my peers and instructors talked about in the feedback. I already have a developed poetic voice and structure, imagery is what I had to revise and add in but I could not figure out where to add something into each poem, or how. I tried and tried and just couldn't figure out how to do it properly. I however will be continuing to try and change them to add in more imagery. I don't really know how to answer this question it literally looks like the first question just re- worded. So unfortunately im confused by this one. Analyze how your consideration of published poetry helped you understand the style of your chosen genre, and explain how you incorporated, subverted, and/or adapted these conventions into your poetry. Some of my favorite poets are Edgar Allan Poe and Robert Frost, so when I write I tend to think about how they'd write it, or how they would convey their emotions into their poems. I love writing with raw emotion because I feel like every poem hits everyone differently but each poem hits one persons feels on point and makes them understand what's wrong with them or a situation they are in. Describe the creative risks you took in the development of your personal style and voice within your poems. Provide examples to support your response. The biggest creative risk I ever take when writing my poetry is basically putting my heart out on the paper in an attempt to make the reader feel what I felt in the moment of me writing. The raw untapped emotion is a huge risk because it could leave you way to vulnerable, feedback could hurt worse because it personal as well. My biggest issue is having no idea when to use imagery so that the poem resonates in the readers mind. Peer Review Process Explain how you determined which peer feedback was actionable and why. I did not get much feedback from my peers at all unfortunately but the little bit that I did receive I paid very close attention to what they were saying because that's how I found my biggest, biggest issue is not using enough imagery. Most of my peer review was actually very excellent and they liked everything I wrote, just didn't like that there really wasn't an image to focus your mind on while reading.
