Character Sketch Stacy Harris ENG-329 Professor McGill September 8, 2023 Aisha Monroe, African American, 23 Aisha Monroe is a 23 year old, African American woman who has never really been in love or experienced a real relationship. She wants to know true love but is extremely shy and introverted. She loves coffee and reading horror stories with a twist of romance and fantasy. She loves these topics so much that she is a member of the topics' fan club. Aisha has one friend from childhood who she confides her romantic concerns with. Her friend encourages Aisha to push out of her bubble and embrace life. Aisha is often plagued by nightmares of an obsessive dark figure who longs to take possession of not only her soul, but her heart. She ends up meeting with a most peculiar stranger who eerily reminds her of the dark Being, even though she has never seen its face. Character Questions 1. Who are your character's friends and family? Who does she surround herself with? Who are the people your character is closest to? Who does he wish he were closest to? Aisha has one really close female friend. Other than that she works from home on the phone as a customer service technician and reads a lot of horror and fantasy books. Her parents died from a horrific car accident when she was 13, which makes her greatly fear death but ironically enough, also makes her afraid to truly live. 2. Nickname? 3. What is your character's hair color? Eye color? She simply goes by Aisha. She has thick curly brown hair, she often wears in a bun in top of her head and prescription eyeglasses she misplaces quite often. She is considered of petite build, standing at only 5'1, and about 125lbs.
4. What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting? Aisha has a vivid memory of the night her parents died during date night as she was stuck with her childhood baby sitter from next door. She feels bad because she argued with her parents before they left, upset because she thought 13 was much too old and "mature" to need a baby sitter.
