Trixie Nicolas IHP 340 STATS January 20, 2024 2-1 Short Paper The graph is histogram because they are explaining the age and gender of the populations in the 1970s by millions. The graph is organized by the ages of 0-100 and is the same for the males also in the 1970s. Y-axis represent the population in the millions and x-axis represent the ages of both male and female which they share axis. The shape of the is almost symmetrical. There is more data skewing to the left because the population is larger for the females were older than 60 than there were males. The population spread is subtle you can tell from the y-axis that female was outliving the males in the 1970s. In the year of 2020, females are so outliving the males by almost half a million of most of the ages. Graph story that I seen is that females living in the 1970s and 2020s than they were males ranging from 0-100. United States population is growing older, as you can tell from the number of people that are reaching 75-80 of age. Life expectancy is past 95 years of age. In 1970 it was 77-85 for women and 72-81 for men (Crimmins,2015). Unites States health system has gone advanced tremendously since the 1970s. Now people have a better access to healthcare with laws passed by the Obama administration, and the other laws of each states that requires every household to have health insurance coverage for each person. Well we can say that this requirement was not a thing in the 1970s and most of the people did not get the proper care we have now. We have so many people taking
care of there bodies. Fitness and nutrition's are the most important thing for todays generations media. Back then there was limited media influence then it is now.
