Jan was given positive praise and positive emotional support, Judi's father mentally and verbally abused her which had a negative effect on her upbringing. Judi's mom had her own issues and was emotionally void of any feelings or love for her daughter. This negative effect caused Judi to have learning disabilities and probably never tried to do good in school since she didn't see a reason to.

Jan was very social in high school and since she was on the debate team that helped her think on her feet, and also helped her gain confidence, and helped her learn conflict resolution skills. This also helped her bond with her classmates and build positive, long-lasting relationships with her co-workers, friends, and family.
Since Judi only had a few friends in life, she could have been a social outcast and did not know how to build positive relationships. Her parents were emotionally absent and it sounds like she would seek approval from anyone that had any sort of interest
mentally to her.
Explain whether nature or nurture had a more significant role in Jan's and Judi's development. Support your answers with examples from the scenario. Consider using biological, psychological, and social factors in your response.
Nurture had a more significant role in how they turned out, they both have the same genetic code so it could have turned out either way for both of them. Jan had parents who loved and cared for her and were very positive and they were very encouraging as well. If they had not been separated at birth and Judi was raised the same way her quality of life would have been much better, and that positivity and love could have helped her two kids have a better chance as well.
