1.Ethnicity

ravaged the West Africa countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea was a stark illustration of
the risks that emerging pathogens and epidemic-prone diseases pose to local and global health
security in settings that had limited public health capacity. More than 28,000 Ebola cases were

be defined in different ways because of certain groups of people have such a connection to their
tribes along with their concepts when marrying into another tribal family. According to
Kormoh," Tribe and ethnicity are among the most-discussed concepts both in sociocultural
anthropology and political history. Various definitions exist to explain the two concepts.
Ethnicity is defined as a social group or category of the population set apart and bound together

harboring such a strong feeling of loyalty or bonds to one's tribe that one excludes or even

ethnicity groups in Sierra Leone and the largest is Temne at 35% and they are mainly framers.
The Kissi is Guinea largest ethnic group for that country, and they are also mainly framers. The
Kpelle ethnic group is one of the largest in Liberia and occupy the central part of the country and

According to West African countries ramp up Ebola preparedness, "Nine cases, including
five deaths have been reported in Guinea. While no confirmed cases of Ebola have been recorded
outside of the country. Surveillance and screening are being stepped up at border crossing points
and in high-risk communities. Rapid response teams are being deployed to border areas to
