I scored 47, which is the average range of the emotional intelligence test. I agree with my test because I am able to recognize and deal with my own emotions and the emotions of others in an effective manner. When I see that somebody else is having a hard time with their emotions, I always ask them if they need help or if they are OK. It is important to do this because it could de- escalate a situation that doesn't need to happen. Describe what you've learned from it, such as your strengths and weaknesses. I learned that I am right about what I have always thought about myself. I am able to relate to others, to express my needs, and to maintain my emotional health. Those have always been some of my strengths. My weaknesses are I am not taking full advantage of my potential, I need to learn and practice new skills, and effective ways to deal with people to increase my emotional intelligence range. Write at least two specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound (SMART) goals to improve your emotional intelligence skills. · Describe the strategies you will use to reach these goals. My first smart goal would be to find effective ways to deal with hard people. My second smart goal would be to regulate my emotions better. I will work on my first goal by keeping my emotions in check and avoiding getting defensive or reactive with others. I will try to understand how other people are feeling and attempt to see things from their side. I also need to create a boundary, so they know I am not willing to tolerate what they are putting out. I will express my concerns without trying to attack their view. This will ensure I have grace and confidence when dealing with difficult people. I will reach my second smart goal of regulating my emotions better by being self-aware and identifying my emotions.
