Module 7-1 Case Study: No One Wants to Work With Her MGT 200 Southern New Hampshire University Amber Hall April 20, 2024 Many believe that the only requirement for work is to get the work done, but human relation skills are what make individuals truly successful. Managing emotions is an important step to start when working with others, especially in a team. It appears Jenny has low emotional intelligence and may suffer from insecurities that impact her relationships with others within her team. Jenny's personality will need some work, and in order to work on her personality and perspective she will need to improve her self-awareness, social awareness, self-confidence and relationship management. Describe the strategies to manage negative emotions at work: Jenny is great at doing her job, but her relationships with her co workers is negative. Jenny needs to first work on her self-awareness. This is also a chance to give feedback out in the open. These team meetings should allow everyone's input and viewpoints to be heard. Starting out in a positive way and stating how an individual is doing good would be more effective than going straight to what they need to work on. Listening to everyone and helping resolve conflicts without being personally involved would be the best way for a team leader to
