Team Dynamics and Management Strategies

Week 5-3 Project Two: Team Management Plan La Taysha Cisneros Southern New Hampshire University MGT 200 Austin Siegel 02/18/2024 Team Dynamic One of the most important parts of an effective team is the team's dynamic. Team dynamics are the behavioral relationships between team members including their interaction, communication, and cooperation with each other (VitalSource Bookshelf Online). In a well-oiled team, they can work together toward common goals as well as overcome any challenges that may arise. In order to make sure the team dynamics are positive and consistent, with every member striving for the success of the company it is important to work individually with its members. People that have worked together successfully before have a solid understanding of one another, therefore will be able to complete common goals. While it can be difficult to add new team members to an already established team, by being transparent, using good communication, and having accountability of expectations it could be a flawless transition. The LTC group is made up of Frank, Allyson, Jerry and Sarah. These individuals have worked together before and understand one another. The STC team is made up of Portia, Arjun, Violet, Jerome, Jin, and Carlos. The STC group have grown accustomed to working remotely with little guidance or supervision. I believe the STC group will have the most difficult time when it comes to accountability as well as being transparent, while the LTC team will have more ease. Both of these teams will have to adapt in order to have a successful time working together. To look deeper at the LTC group, Frank is not an action person but looks at the big picture of things, he seems to fit into a leadership role. With that being known he shouldn't have much difficulty working well with anyone from either team, especially those who are task focused such as: Arjun and Violet. One negative characteristic for Frank is that he is unable to take his ideas and put them into action, however having the right teammates (the task-oriented) should make up for where he lacks. Allyson enjoys working with her peers; however, they have noticed she has a lot of excessive energy that may need to be reined in. One person Allyson might struggle with is Jerome, he is an introvert and often has trouble speaking up in meetings. She could have to work harder to help Jerome feel included. Jerry is very energetic and highly curious, because of his high energy he tends to struggle with focusing his attention in meetings. While his peers at LTC have worked together with him for a long time, those at STC will have to be flexible with his work style. Someone who might struggle with this is Carlos. He is already anxious about the amount of change in the merger, so learning to be flexible with someone else's work style could bring added stresses. Sarah is a very data analytic person; she has been with LTC for 20 years. She likes
