Name: Quenzell Roberts Date: 11/6/23 Course: Leadership and Team Building Instructor: Mary Sanders 3-4 Project One: Personal and Professional Development Plan Personal Reflection My personal reflection is based off being logical, ethical, and honestti Values are important because they help us grow and develop and create future opportunities and experiences for usti I believe having beliefs and values allow you to make better choices throughout your lifeti As you go through different milestones or phases in life you can encounter different struggles that can essentially break you downti That's why having set values is important in decision-making because it can influence personal development and help mold your ideal career pathti Over the past five years I have achieved so much in my personal and professional developmentti As I started to advance my career in banking, I learned a lot about myself, I gained so much ambition and drive to want more and do betterti When I first got into backing 10 years ago, I started out as bank teller worked my way up to a teller supervisorti Working for a huge bank like Wells Fargo it was so hard to grow in that company so when better opportunities were not presented to me, I looked elsewhereti I was offered a position at PNC Bank as personal bankerti After I was able to gain experience and knowledge from that position I looked into management and was offered a position at another bank for an assistant branch managerti I realized then how competitive banking really is and wanted to see how further I can go in my careerti I enjoyed my time as an assistant manager, but it was time for more growth so, I was offered a branch manager position that caused me to relocate back hometi After all this success I've had in my career it encouraged to go back to school to pursue my degree in Human Resourcesti Professional Reflection In the next three to five years, I would love to work in a Human Resources department leaning more towards talent and developmentti Learning and development incorporates any professional development a business provides to its employeesti It is a core component to the human resources department and is the overall success and achievement of organizational goals to the companyti The basic qualifications for a talent and developmental coordinator develops comprehensive training materials, including manuals, guides, presentations, and interactive modules, to facilitate the onboarding and continuous trainingti Helps cultivate the skills of current employee by evaluating employee performance, developing training programs, and leading seminars (Job Search - Millions of Jobs Hiring Near You | ZipRecruiter, n.d.)
