Telecommuting at MedEx
During the pandemic, a lot of companies realized it wasn't safe for large crowds to
work in the same office space, and would be better to incorporate teleworking. This
opened many eyes to employees and employers. It became very resourceful for
employees to work from home, while still being able to complete the same amount of
work as in the office, and affordable for companies not paying so much for office space
MedEx should offer to telecommute, this will benefit the high turnover rates and make
employees work harder for being heard out. There are surveys with comments which
have several employees stating they must go through heavy traffic and must pay a lot for
parking (Martocchio, 2016). By offering telecommuting employees will wake up in a better
Advantage
The advantages for employees would be the amount of savings, flexible work
schedule, and reducing stress. Employees would save money on gas parking because
they won't have to go through long commutes since their office will be right there at home.
also helping them save money on parking. As well as saving money on daycare or
childcare for employees who have children. Making it a very flexible schedule as well,
now having to deal with traveling employees won't have to wake up earlier and may have
will also make it less stressful for employees, which will allow them to work harder and be
in a better mood for work
The advantages for employers would be increased productivity, employment satiation,
and retention/recruitment. Because of all the advantages, the employees will have from

of employees wasting their energy getting up earlier, traveling, and struggling in between
will allow them to use that energy to work harder. Listening to your employees and taking
initiative in doing something about it will show them that this is the company they want to
the turnover rate, and increase the number of employees interested in working for the
company.
Disadvantages
With advantages, there will always be disadvantages. This brings us to the
disadvantages of offering teleworking. While working from home may sound nice it also
isolates you from others. This can bring a lack of collaboration, not knowing when to stop
working, and a lack of motivation. Teleworking can become a habit for some getting out of
bed straight to a computer, not having anyone to tell you when it is time for lunch or when
it's time to go home. Not being aware can make the employee feel consumed by work
Ieading them to become less motivated because of mental issues. This also affects
collaboration because it may become harder to make connections with other employees
versus how it would be connecting in person.
Challenges
Having the disadvantages lead to challenges, bringing up any mental issues that may
arise
