What are two key takeaways you have learned from this course? Reflect and discuss.
A key takeaway I have learned is how important rewards can be for a full or part-time job and the variation of rewards. Honestly, I think and look back at all the places I've worked and see how those companies didn't care for their employees. Another takeaway I have learned is communicating rewards to different audiences. The final project helped me understand different key terms and points to use and who to use them with.
:How will you use the knowledge gained over this course?
I will use it for my future HR job and incorporate ways that can benefit the employees and the company. Staying up to date with the competing market and making sure the employees are being rewarded fairly. As mentioned before, looking back on my previous jobs I was oblivious and thought what we had was enough but after gaining this knowledge and I can use it to improve in my future career.

No, only because of the current position I have right now. Once I start my internship in HR this will be a handy tool to use. The articles that SHRM has are very helpful and contain a lot of information. Most importantly the articles are easy to read and understand.

The article I chose was Navigating Post-Pandemic Compensation Challenges.
Post-Pandemic a lot of companies are struggling with filling in the gaps from a lack of employees. As expressed, "There are jobs open in the marketplace and not enough people to fill
them" (Sammer,2021). Companies are doing what they can by increasing pay and improving their benefits to reassure they are targeting the right areas to decrease their turnover rates. A lot of employers are competing with companies that provide remote work, so employees who don't provide teleworking must bring back or develop new strategies to attract and retain employees.
