Tailoring Business Letters for Different Audiences

There are multiple factors that I will take into consideration for tailoring a business letter for an appropriate audience. The first factor that I believe will make the most difference is word choice and language because if it is a business letter and I use inappropriate language or slang, I will not be taken seriously. It is important to sound professional and make the letter formal. Another factor is letter structure. I believe the structure to be that of font choice and letter formatting and by letter formatting I mean the style of writing such as a letter to your friends or essay for school or a scholarship. The audience for the business letter is professionals whom I want to do business with. For example, if I was looking to partner with Tesla as a tire company, I would write my business letter accordingly to appeal to the audience of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his board members. The presentation design and content choices are hugely influenced by the audience that you are planning to appeal to. The way that a letter appeals to company A would be different than company B if they were of different industries. Like my example above, the way I would structure my letter if I were partnering with Tesla as a tire company would be different if I wanted to partner up with Chick Fil A as a soda company. I would need to be versed in the language of the industry so that my audience knows I am serious about partnering up with the
