Accounting and Human Resources

ACC 201 Final Project Part II: Professional Relevance Essay Kiera Rausch Southern New Hampshire University ACC 201 Final Project Part II: Professional Relevance Essay Once I earn my degree in Business Administration and Human Resources, I plan to pursue a career in human resources with my current employer. Currently I do not encounter very much accounting, however I do track inventory and complete tasks in a timely manner. Prolonging the tasks given to me could cause an increase in payroll, and effectively cause the cost of wages to increase. With my aspiring career I will encounter much more accounting than I currently do. I will be in charge of hiring personnel, conducting payroll and ensuring its accuracy, and strategically using marketing for our store. We will also need to order supplies that are needed and ensure the counts of the supplies are correct. Having an inaccurate count of the supplies could lead to me ordering more than needed. This would increase the amount spent on supplies and lower the income overall for the business. Keeping accurate counts will ensure that the correct amount of supplies are ordered and the business can maintain a steady flow of income. This includes ensuring I document the purchases correct into the journals and statements. Incorrectly documenting the supplies could also cause similar issues to order the wrong amount. It could affect the balance sheet and cause the
